Nederberg Wine Auction

11 & 12 August is the 41st Nederberg Wine Action 2015

Every year South Africa’s most talented winemakers come together to showcase their most exceptional, award-winning wines in one of the industry’s most anticipated events. The Nederburg Wine Auction, now in its 40th year, is one of the five biggest events of its kind in the world. With an ever-growing range of superior and exclusive wines, next year’s Nederburg Wine Auction is guaranteed to be yet another red-letter day on every wine buyer’s calendar.

Recognised as some of the country’s finest and most rare vintages, the premium titles selected for auction have been chosen from over 100 wines – each blind-tasted and scored out of 20 in a rigorous selection process.

The Nederburg Auction takes place in the heart of Paarl’s wine valley, amid vineyard views and beautiful historic buildings that date back to 1800. This is where wine connoisseurs and South Africa’s icon wine producers meet to partake in and celebrate wines marked for their quality, rarity and authenticity.

All guests attending the Nederburg Auction have the privilege of tasting the wines that will be auctioned on Friday and Saturday respectively, prior to the start of each day’s bidding.

A handful of the really scarce wines are not available in the tasting line-up – some wines truly are too rare to taste! The tastings are hosted by the producers themselves, providing an ideal networking opportunity.

Aside from the iconic auction wines, guests will be seduced by the delicious cuisine, including breakfast canapés both days, a beautiful sit-down lunch on Friday and an alfresco lunch experience on Saturday accompanied by live entertainment. And of course no meal is complete without a quality beverage –fine wine and other drinks are served throughout the event, from the moment guests arrive, to when they leave, and all eating and bidding activity in-between. Qualified baristas are on hand to serve a variety of coffees throughout both days.

This exclusive experience is accessible by invitation only. Invitations are limited and distributed at the discretion of the Nederburg Auction.

Tickets are available to purchase for R1 000, which covers your attendance for both days. Tickets for partners are available for Saturday at a cost of R500.
